Hi there 👋

You must be wondering who this joyful nerd on the profile picture is; It's just me, a guy who automates things in his spare time!

There's probably quite a few things that lead me to being into Domotics, so I'll try to be short!

From my first computer at age 6, bought my by parents for the new millenial to my first dedicated 'server' machine salvaged from the trash at a short-lived job. I always had a fascination with computers and electronic devices, specifically the domotics field, 'Smart Homes' as the normal people calls it.

I long dreamed of a 'Star-trek' dwelling, with automatic temperature patterns for the lights, such as following to imitate the sun's changing color temperature thourough the day, and wall-dashboards to allow for quick interactions with a complex system containing both information, entertainment, and contorl of the environment.

It's not until 2018 that this dream started to manifest itself. With a smart lock bought my by then new-roomate who was done with me after the third time I lost my keys in a week. (The ADHD strikes again) This rapidly lead to a never-ending expansion of automatism, first the lights who turned on when we arrived, followed by the fridge door telling us when it remained ajar. The flow of QOL improvements seemed limitless, and still does to this day.

Any action repeated thourough the day, automated.

I went from a simple setup, to what amounts to an entire inprint of my lifestyle. With a total of 325 automations (The average automation count for an Home Assistant installation is ~13), 130 Zigbee devices, a LAN Network comprised of 110 Devices and 10 wall-tablets, this home is optimized for one thing: Making one's life more enjoyable and carefree.

But I derail You can find everything about my smart home on this repo

You'll also find that I'm a pretty social guy, always hosting parties for friends and their guests, and even hosting live bands. This all meshes in super well with the domotic side of my life, as many things are automated to facilitate the party and the life of my guests. From a Jukebox system, to automated light effects and mood selectors on the dashboards.

With a monthly party, and weekly social gatherings, when I'm not hosting friends, I am sitting at my desk thinkering how i could better an automation, or improve a subsystem!
